No, you can buy Shakeology on any retail shelf at any brick-and-mortar store worldwide. It’s always been this way and that’s not changing.

It’s not just you who wants to buy it in stores. Maybe people want to save on packaging or reduce their carbon footprint by not shipping to their doorstep.

Or, maybe they don’t want to buy it from a BODi (formerly known as Beachbody) coach who might send unhelpful or salesy emails.

So, the answer is a firm no. You can’t buy shakeology at Walmart, Costco, Target, or on any physical retail shelves.

So where can I purchase Shakeology?

The answers to this question on the internet are confusing. They are littered with buzzwords such as BODi partner, preferred customer, coach discount, home direct, etc.

My wife and I have been coaches with Beachbody since 2014 and we can’t keep track of it all. So, here we cut through the sales pitches and Beachbody jargon to give you a simple answer. 

Since we’re engineers who can’t pass up the opportunity to compare numbers, we’ll also break down the cost differences accurately to help you decide. 

So, where the heck can I buy Shakeology? There are only two places.

1. Buy Shakology on Amazon

I lead with this option because then you have absolutely no strings attached to Beachbody.

Plus, you’re probably already buying a bunch of stuff from Amazon, and customer service and returns are super easy.

The only downside to buying Shakeology on Amazon is the price is higher. We’ll elaborate and tell you exactly how much more below.

2. Buy Shakeology from the BODi Company (formerly known as Beachbody)

The second (and last) option is to buy Shakeology from Beachbody.

While Beachbody, now called BODi, produces high-quality and world-famous fitness and nutrition programs, it is a network marketing organization with independent distributors knowns a “coaches.”

You can buy Shakeology from the Beachbody website or you can buy it directly from a coach. However, what few people know is that every single Beachbody customer is assigned to a coach/distributor. This is unavoidable.

While most coaches have every intention to help you, you might not want their help. Therefore, if you just want to buy Shakeology and not be bothered, you can select “DO NOT CONTACT” while checking out. We’ll show you how to do that.

Again, no, you cannot buy shakeology in a store. Those are the only two places where you can buy Shakeology.

I dislike Amazon, but at the same time, I can’t imagine life without it. Am I the only one?

Amazon makes things mindless. Even issues and returns are resolved with almost no effort. With Amazon Prime, I typically saw one-day shipping for Shakeology on Amazon compared to 5-7 days from Beachbody.

The only downside of buying shakeology on Amazon is the price. So, here is the nearly exact price difference (Amazon prices fluctuate and taxes and S&H vary slightly by state) to help you decide.

After applying taxes, fees, and shipping and handling (S&H), Shakeology is 15% more expensive on Amazon.

To buy Shakeology on Amazon, the cost is $175.26/bag. The cost from Beachbody is $152.36/bag. This is only in USD.

2. Buy Shakeology from BODi

We have been Beachbody customers since 2014 and generally, shipping is fast and customer service is good. Lately, they have a new chat service that allows you to text message with the customer service agent from your phone. It makes things easy.

When you buy Shakeology from BODi, you get the best price. And like any product these days, you can save money when you sign up for a monthly subscription to the product.

Here are the opportunities you have to reduce the price of Shakeology.

First, as you can see, the price after taxes, fees, and S&H (the real cost) are what you need to focus on.

The biggest savings happens when you sign up as a “Coach” or “Preferred Customer” but that is definitely not for everyone. But, explaining these different options is out of the scope of this article.

The price is best when you buy Shakeology from Beachbody, but as I mentioned, when you become a customer you are automatically assigned a coach. The idea is that they’re there for support and advice with the products but that’s not always the case. They could try to sell you a bunch of stuff that you probably don’t need.

Since you’re looking to buy Shakeology elsewhere, chances are you have experienced the following.
