1. The Perfect Pear Smoothie

Pears are an incredibly nutritious but often underrated fruit. High in antioxidants and fiber, pears are excellent in aiding digestion, and further research links them to reducing cholesterol and helping avoid diabetes. They are a perfect addition in your vanilla shakeology smoothie.

Additionally, pears are full of phytonutrients, including anti-inflammatory and anti-aging flavonoids. Their impressive profile includes high levels of Vitamin C, Vitamin K, and boron. Collectively, they help improve bone and skin health. It gets even better because pears have some of the highest-fiber found in fruits and have been called the “natural constipation remedy.” Great for improving your poop health. Always wash and eat the skin for more fiber.

Ingredients:

  • Pear (Bosc or Plymouth are best) with skin on
  • 8 ice cubes (about 1 cup)
  • About 2 cups water, almond milk, or a mix
  • 1 scoop vanilla Shakeology
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. freshly chopped ginger

2. The Mint Melon Magic Smoothie

One of our favorite ways to spice up our vanilla Shakeology smoothies is by adding herbs. Mint imparts many health benefits as well as being known as a lucky plant in parts of Greece. Why not get healthy and fortunate at the same time!

Mint is incredibly relaxing and aids in digestion and upset stomachs. Outside of covering the “anti’s” – antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory – it fights aches and pains (including menstrual cramps). Additionally, it is known to reduce swelling on the skin like acne and insect bites. On top of all of this, mint improves oral health so you may get lucky enough to get a kiss.

We love to pair mint with watermelon to amp up the refreshing taste. Watermelon soothes muscle soreness, rehydrates the body, improves circulation, and is a natural aphrodisiac. What’s more, is it’s the highest alkalizing (or neutral) fruits known to humankind. Therefore, it can help balance any acidity in your body that comes from foods like meat or coffee. You’ll love this vanilla Shakeology recipe with mint and watermelon!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of watermelon
  • 6-8 leaves of fresh mint
  • 1/2 cups greens (frozen or fresh) optional
  • 8 ice cubes (about 1 cup)
  • About 2 cups water, almond milk, or a mix
  • 1 scoop vanilla Shakeology

Instructions:

3. Carrot Cake Smoothie

Adding vegetables to our vanilla Shakeology smoothies is part of our daily routine. We love carrots because of the many health benefits they impart. We blend up the full carrot to get all the benefits of the fiber. This delicious “dessert” vanilla Shakeology recipe is highly enjoyable.

And, highly nutritious. Carrots are loaded with dietary fiber, Vitamins A (one large carrot is ~200 DV%!), Vitamin K, folate, manganese, and potassium. With this stellar combo, carrots not only improve eyesight and skin with beta-carotene, but also is an immunity booster, can prevent heart disease, maintains digestive health, and regulates blood sugar levels.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 banana
  • 2 tbsp. chopped walnuts
  • 8 ice cubes (about 1 cup)
  • About 2 cups water, almond milk, or a mix
  • 1 scoop vanilla Shakeology

4. Basil Blueberry Smoothie

Herbs not only freshen up your vanilla Shakeology smoothie recipes but also imparts excellent health benefits. Adding basil to your Shakeology smoothie may not be intuitive. Trust me. Our Basil Blueberry Smoothie tastes amazing and is packed with antioxidants and minerals to get you in tip-top shape.

Basil covers all the “anti’s:” anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant. Basil has been proven to bolster heart health while reducing free radicals. Additionally, basil alleviates indigestion, detoxifies the liver, and promotes skin health. Finally, basil is a sign of good luck in Italy!

A well-known “superfood,” blueberries are high in antioxidants as well as fiber, potassium, folate, Vitamin C, and Vitamin B6. The absence of cholesterol and high amounts of fiber promote cardiovascular health and decrease risks of heart disease. Similar to basil, blueberries reduce inflammation and support digestion, meaning this smoothie is a powerful punch of health.

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cups of blueberries (frozen or fresh)
  • 4-6 leaves fresh basil
  • 1 banana
  • 8 ice cubes (about 1 cup)
  • About 2 cups water, almond milk, or a mix
  • 1 scoop vanilla Shakeology

5. Beet Ginger Smoothie

Detox with this deliciously refreshing vanilla Shakeology smoothie jam-packed with antioxidants. It is vegan and gluten-free. Perfect for a long weekend, hangover cure, or to boost your immune system before an upcoming vacation.

Beets are an immunity booster high in vitamin c, fiber, and minerals such as potassium (good for healthy nerve and muscle function) and manganese (excellent for bones, liver, kidneys, and pancreas). Beets also detoxify the body and controls cholesterol and blood pressure.

Ginger is an anti-inflammatory that also prevents muscle pain and soreness. Similar to beets, it is high in vitamin C, potassium, manganese, magnesium, and vitamin B6 and relays many of the same health benefits such as immunity-boosting. Ginger is perfect for as a detoxifying ingredient because it settles the stomach and supports digestion.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. fresh ginger (we clean and add unpeeled)
  • 2/3 cups of chopped beets (frozen or boiled beets)
  • 1/2 cups greens (we prefer spinach over kale) optional
  • 1 banana
  • 8 ice cubes (about 1 cup)
  • About 2 cups water, almond milk, or a mix
  • 1 scoop vanilla Shakeology

shakeology recipe blending instructions

  1. Place solid ingredients (excluding powders) and ice (if you’re adding frozen fruit or veggies, you’ll need less) into the blender. Then, pour in your liquid of choice.
  2. Turn on the blender and liquify. Fiberous, fresh veggies need more time.
  3. Next, add ingredients in powder form and your scoop of Shakeology. This prevents clumping on the side of the pitcher.
  4. Finally, liquify again for 15-30 seconds and serve.
